Stay-at-Dar's Bed & Breakfast
About Us

The Property

Construction of the house that is now Stay-at-Dar's began in 1991. It started as a custom-built private residence focused around an exceptionally large and unique living room, but the original owner was not able to complete it and the shell of the house sat empty for several years waiting for a new owner.

In 1999, the still-incomplete house was purchased by Darlene Howard, who recognized both the property's potential and the town's need for a bed and breakfast. She, just like many travelers, enjoys the warmth, privacy and luxurious accommodations of a First Class B&B when away from home, and Pahrump had none to offer. She redesigned the layout of the house with guests in mind, providing for spacious comfort and quiet as well as inviting open areas. The house was finished in 2001 and has been tastefully furnished to ensure that discriminating visitors will always want to "Stay at Dar's" when in Pahrump.

Stay-at-Dar's has gone "GREEN"! Early in February of 2011, Dar had the entire B&B converted to the clean, reliable, renewable energy of solar power. (Not that you can tell; Dar just believes in cutting-edge technology and thought that you should know so you won't feel guilty if you leave a light on....)
